Dr. James W. Dunnavant, Jr., DDS, FASDS, MBA, CHW is a cosmetic and implant dentist and the founder of 1-800-VENEERS™, the AI robotic doctor-guided smile system. His training pairs a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with an MBA, a Fellowship in the Academy of Sedation Dentistry, and a Certified Health & Wellness credential — clinical, business, and whole-health perspectives that all show up in how patients are counseled.

He founded his Las Vegas private practice in 1994 near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, and that same year supervised the dental hygiene program instructors at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He was invited by Richard Oglesby, President of Howard Hughes Corporation Community Development, to join Summerlin Hospital Medical Center as a founding member of the medical staff and the first physician or surgeon of any specialty in its Department of Surgery, where his practice covered Clark County emergency on-call service, oral surgery, and oral pathology.

From 2006 to 2019 he founded and led Dr. James W. Dunnavant, Jr. Celebrity Smiles Inc. as CEO and COO, launching five offices across Las Vegas, Summerlin, Philadelphia, and New York City, with cosmetic dental work alongside Rittenhouse Plastic Surgery in Philadelphia and Madison Avenue Medical Associates in New York. The original 1-800-VENEERS practice and web marketing program ran from 2004 to 2013. Today he sees patients in both Las Vegas, Nevada and New York, New York. His sequence is deliberately conservative — the least invasive path to a healthy, natural-looking smile first: whitening and aligners, then porcelain veneers, then full-arch All-on-X⁶ reconstruction using Yomi robotic-guided implant surgery only when the case calls for it. Years of care for actors, athletes, and executives set the standard he now works to make available to everyone.

He is also the platform's full-stack operator. Rather than hiring an agency to interpret dentistry, Dr. Dunnavant designs and builds the system himself with AI tooling: the education and SmileQuiz™ flows, verified-provider matching, encrypted patient intake, compliance and privacy controls, call and messaging tracking, analytics, and the network of AI agents that handle patient questions, routing, and follow-up. The clinical logic and the code come from the same person — a dentist accountable for both the treatment plan and the software that recommends it. Earlier in his career he served as CEO of SOPA Energy, an independent oil and gas exploration company in Dallas, Texas.
